Nebuchadnezzar did not have good understanding when he got cut off at the watchers decree (Dan 4:17). See what happened was is he had a dream that told him what was to come and Daniel interpreted this dream too..... Sadly, Nebby was under judgment and what he learned was that when he had been cut off he did not have good reasoning nor good understanding, but once he had been restored, returned to God and to bless the Most High by giving Him praise and honor, his reason and understanding returned once the judgment against him had completed it's cycle. v34-37
