Having Decided To Trust
v2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter. Pro 25
~There's a time and a place for everything. Then there's a time for something to be everything all the time... Trust is one of those things... it is not always easy to trust until you are ready and willing to live by faith. Abraham didn't have any guarantees when he offered up Isaac, only knew that once he crossed through the mind battle of accepting that GOD WOULD PROVIDE, did he enter into the faith act of believing that God would do exactly what his faith was believing for... for God did provide what Abraham could receive... the scapegoat that would replace having to kill his son since he was pawning this off as being something God told him to do. Abraham had to die to his fears: he didn't even tell his wife who waited a long time to have a kid; Issac was her kid too! If he goes to jail, who would take care of his family? He could lose everything. Who would follow him as he follows Christ since we all know thou shalt not kill, yet Abraham still thinks this weird thing is God telling him to sacrifice his son. None of this sounds like the loving God we all know or are taught about... BUT IT WAS! Time to start getting ready to accept the unacceptable, think the unthinkable, and to better prepare for what is coming because you will not be able to control it, or possibly even define it. In this next move you will not be able to point to something then say, "That's what Christianity looks like." You will be faced to live by faith without an ability to defend your position. Christianity is not about what we can control but about what we can surrender. Selah~
