Happy Thanksgiving

America is celebrating and we have enjoyed a fabulous meal.  It snowed for a short time which made it extra special while the fire burned logs in the fireplace as we watched Miracle on 34th Street.  Great movie!  Was just stretching in my chair so leaned right and noticed in the file holder "German Grammar".  It's an academic quick study.  27 letters in the German alphabet plus 3 umlaute.  It is a difficult language to learn; words can be spoken in the masculine, feminine, or neuter gender; all nouns are capitalized anywhere in the sentence; compound nouns are written as one word, e.g. the German class - die Deutschklasse, or, the coffee machine - der Kaffee, die Maschine.  So if you mix German and English you get: Find das Tischlein in Dezember with das Buch about das Christentum and make das Datum a perfect Gewerkschaft because even in der Winter you'll find Honig.
