Guilty By Association
Received an email yesterday, supposedly written by Democrat Sherry Hackett (wife of Buddy Hackett- know who he is? Never heard of them before personally). One of the fifteen points had pointed out an association concerning Obama's religious ties, reading quite bluntly:
When your pastor of 20 years, "God-damned America"...you denied
having heard recriminations of that nature, we wondered how that could
be. You later disassociated yourself from that church and Pastor
Wright because...

When in middle school, there was one day in particular that i'll never forget. The day of walking into the library at break time, pulling a book at random off of the shelf or stand, whatever it was, it wasn't planned out of nothing other than to kill time and for reason of curiousity, but as i turned the page the opening statement line read... Every time you say 'God Damn It' you are asking God to take whatever you are damning to hell... now the library was not the hang out place but for lack of having an abundance of friends it was the easiest way to end the lonely break, so decided to hide out there where being seen by yourself wasn't odd. This statement line made a big impression on me. The odds of going into the library where the first book i open revealed this. Wow! Teaching experience. Ever felt like you were perishing due to the lack of knowledge (Pro 29:18)? What we say is important... when the power of life or death is in the tongue (Pro 18:21), and those who love it will eat its fruit, yet you can't live in the past, but to live in the future means the past must be honestly confronted, healed, overcome, so to finally produce the testimony our future can use. Time is the enemy of every lie. By your words you'll be established, and by your words you'll be condemned (Mt 12:37). God is not condemnable, and didn't send Jesus into the world to condemn it (Jn 3:17), for Father God upholds everything by the Word of His power (Heb 1:3), that Word being Jesus Christ (Jn 1:1), the Word Who became flesh (Jn 1:14), Who was sent into the world that through Him it might be saved (Jn 3:17).
