Ageless Grace

Very much appreciated listening to the President of Israel on Hannity tonight.  He is a gracious man.  His 87 year old hands were folded together in the mercy position as he spoke.  He works 18 hours per day.  WOW!  Loved and agreed with him about shame.

We should distance ourselves from shameful behavior and leaders and let their shamefulness be the message that we want good respectable leaders.  Today is the 23rd so decided to read Proverbs 23 and what an irony to read verse 1-2 and 25 as it reminds me of the way the Iranian President has been acting and of what we should be doing in response...

v1-2  Do not be envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them; for their heart devises violence, and their lips talk of troublemaking.  (The US did not plot 911 in an attempt to protect Israel as the Iranian President suggested in his dismissive accusation... this is shameful speech).

v25  But those who rebuke the wicked will have delight, and a good blessing will come upon them.  (Yes, because even God refuses to bless sin, He simply won't... and sometimes silence is not the life-giving way to make peace because to send no message to the wicked is to send the message that wickedness is ok, yet God will not bless sin, He can't, ever, lest He become an accomplice to satan.  God blesses repentance, holiness, Jesus, good quality decisions, and unselfishness).  The auto workers caught drinking and smoking pot showed admonition of guilt by driving away.  It would and could cost them their job.  Does the company rule permit beer consumption during break time? Or mind altering pot smoking during break time?  How well can you do your job when your mind is altered?  Is it safe or wise to operate heavy equipment or even trustworthy to make sound decisions when your mind is altered?  Can you really?  Isn't that why so many people sleep with a stranger after leaving the bar?  Does that make you feel really good about yourself?  You have to harden your heart to cope with the mistake.  Or regret the mess you got yourself into.  And if someone gets hurt on the job will it cost potentially thousands of dollars in damages?  And considering there are up to 10 recalls on whatever autos these workers are responsible for helping put together, had it been your business to run, would you want people jeopardizing the quality, the quantity, the safety, the financial liability of your company all because a few workers feel entitled to engage in mind altering behavior during break time?  It's not very responsible and puts the company at high risk for injury... plus, once the workers hopped in their cars after the drinking and smoking, the sin list accumulated for this is legally considered driving under the influence, so more ill chances are being taken by bad choices, on not just themselves but with unsuspecting drivers.  Study reports of accidents from the department of motor vehicles and find out what percentage of people drive under mind altering influences, that have caused irreversible damage.  This is not a good example of conduct becoming.  It's shameful.  Bail out or not, we need to get back in tune with our ability to be ashamed of ourselves, and be inspired to make better choices, with the help of God, all things are possible, and with His Blood, forgiveable~
