Last Things First
Just read email forward from Ragena and one of the quotes were funny... "It's important to have a twinkle in your wrinkle." Alongside one picture of a bunch of old ladies. Laughter does good like a medicine (Pro 17:22). Then i realized that God was getting me to laugh because a sinus sickness is trying to get on me, so before showering i had prayed and reminded God not to let satan mock His Blood that already healed me, so God is doing it His way. He's very creative. I just love Him~
Another quote reads, "Never look down on anybody unless you're helping them up." While watching Hannity, Vernon from across the street was outside. It's 74 degrees in our house, beautiful painting day, so we the kept windows opened up even while eating dinner but then heard Vernon. His voice is raspy. He cusses A LOT! We've called the cops on him before in late night hours for this but tonight Mike simply walked over to have a chat. I hadn't finished eating my salad yet and was sitting on the living room floor with my paint clothes on because just wrapped up for the evening. Before Mike walked over i told him how i felt sorry for Vernon because he has a devil that makes him go off like that and it doesn't ever let him have any rest. Then after joining Mike across the street to talk with the neighbors (Vernon was in the house already), Joyce was out with her nephew Rob. They listened and agreed with my assessment on Vernon, whom i've never met, but Joyce used to date Vernon. Rob said i read Vernon pretty well and so i told Joyce that he needed to have a devil cast out because something happened at a young age that was never dealt with and it has kept growing and now, whatever sets it off, he then manifests and has no rest, and no one around him gets to rest either because of it... she agreed!
We 4 talked a lot about Jesus, God, One God, the BP oil spill, the Holy Spirit, heaven, paying tithes, drinking, the 12/12/08 car wreck Rob was in where the drunk driver hit the car and Rob had surgery; one person died; Rob was unconscious yet was allowed to smell death and it changed him, he confessed that the Almighty Creator God kept him alive. He went to private school until his mom could no longer afford it. He was advanced for public school. He took up wrong friends. Did bad things. Never went to jail but was in a gang. He has book smarts and street smarts. He believes he is saved and baptized. He said he is half white, half black. Joyce said she's never been prejudice, they know a lot of white people. We talked about our cultures and i said that 'the white culture is quiet and your culture is loud, and we all know that about each other,' then mentioned that Pat said she pays her tithes too! So then shared what my grandma said, that 'if you don't pay your tithe then the car tire will blow out or something will happen, but you're going to pay it one way or another, so you may as well pay it.'
Rob was drinking a beer and shared that he goes for awhile without drinking anything, and knew the bible which said we are not to get drunk, so said he doesn't get drunk, but if you do, go to sleep... then pointed to his mind and said something about the mind. He's really nice, loves, and accepts all people. We talked about sin and many spiritual things. He asked what church we go to, that he would like to go sometime... if we could get him a card. His wife is always on the prayerline, he said, that sometimes she will put the phone up to his ear so he can listen...
Rob said he praises God. And this is nice. Pat told me the other day how Zyiah was at the table and started blurting out, "Thank You Jesus, I Just Thank You Jesus, Oh Lord!" If that isn't cute, i don't know what is. She's two, maybe three or four by now, but she's adorable!
