When 48 Comes
Pat and i went to lunch today, she told me that the lady on our block who is related to the guy that was involved in the mercedes incident last week, apologized, so that's good. Apparently he tried to choke that girl or something, that she had a ceizure or something. No wonder why he went to jail, gee-whiz!
It is hard for people to respect something that they don't contribute to~ What you run from, you will run right back into. Do you want to run right back into war, or peace? It's a choice. Your choice. But it takes two to tango. If you want to fight with me but i don't want to fight with you then you may as well hold up a mirror to feel like you've got a good fight on your hands.
Sunday morning before church, Mike and i drove up the block to pick up that trash and those chairs that i complained about and that God helped with by fixing my attitude; He straightened it back out. Mike threw them in the back of his truck while i picked up the trash, we dropped off the chairs next to the alley dumpster so that the city could pick up the large pieces... which they do. Delegated days are chosen for large and awkward trash items that needed to be disposed of for free.
v1 Hear this, house of Jacob (flesh), who are called by the name of Israel (God Preserves), and have come forth from the wellsprings of Judah (Praise); who swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel (God Preserves), but not in truth or in righteousness;

v4 Because I knew that you were obstinate (hard), and your neck was an iron sinew, and your brow bronze,
v5 even from the beginning I have declared it to you; before it came to pass I proclaimed it to you, lest you should say, 'My idol has done them, and my carved image and my molded image have commanded them.'
v6 You have heard; see all this. And will you not declare it? I have made you hear new things from this time, even hidden things, and you did not know them.
v7 They are created now and not from the beginning; and before this day you have not heard them, lest you should say, 'Of course I knew them.'
v8 Surely you did not hear, surely you did not know; surely from long ago your ear was not opened. For I knew that you would deal very treacherously, and were called a transgressor from the womb.
v9 For My Name's sake I will defer My anger, and for My praise I will restrain it from you, so that I do not cut you off.
v10 Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnance of affliction.
v11 For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it; for how should My name be profaned? And I will not give My glory to another.
