One Big Fat Juicy Verse

v10  But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.  1 Pet 5

Father God used Jesus Christ to call us.

After we accepted, we came across some unpleasant suffering: accusation, misunderstanding, hate, rejection, dimissal, delay, loss, decrease...

After passing the test, however many there were, Jesus was perfecting (our character), establishing (our position so our character could handle it), strengthening (so we learned to overlook offense, forgive sincerely, defend Godly causes under persecution without compromising the cause), and settling us (in the unshakeable, unmoveable, Rock of our Salvation).

This verse is better than a steak dinner, which is what we had for dinner tonight out on the deck, because the weather was so nice!  We even shared the fat pieces with our raccoons, which they loved!
