He Knew It
Daniel got to know it. In spite of all that in the vision, {tax increases (v20); wars and destruction (v16/30; lying politicians (v27); corrupt and fallen christians (v32); self-exaltation (v37); rejection of historial patterns and normal hetersexual relationships (v37)}, he also in the hearing of the interpretation on how disheartening the end-times will be, Daniel still got to know that he would rest, that he would arise to his inheritance at the end of days (ch 12:13). This wasn't an unexplainable faith statement made to Daniel. It is an encouraging word after listening to so much war and defeatism. It is a word that is easy to understand. It is explainable. Faith is applied in that Daniel must find a way to maintain joy and know that it all will work out in the end because before that time there will be many unpleasantries, and Daniel is being reassured that he will rest and is reminded how he will receive what Christ appointed for him, so keep this in heart whenever challenge is bringing the test!
