Rock The Block
Took the sound equipment up to the outreach today and met a new friend (not sure how to spell his name), that played DJ and who did some scratching on his equipment so that he showed me how he does it... very sophisticated! Danced with two more new friends and one was this cute little two year old girl but really she looked five 
. Jamie sang. Isaiah shared his testimony of growing up without a father figure because his dad spent 26 years in prison. The Lord saved several people today and water baptized 39. WOW! And i got to baptize 4 children. All four little girls... was very cute! Except the first one didn't really want to do it so walked the other direction in the pool... was my first time water baptizing someone so didn't really know what i was doing and the little girl didn't know what to do either, so we just sprinkled her head . The BBQ lines were packed and then Thi'sl sang a song off his CD. Wanted to share the song he sang today titled "I Hate You (Crack)" and type out what is written on the inside cover of his album. We connected in conversation while discussing his freedom from drugs and that i'm glad he is off of them because my sister died of drugs at 36 (years old); intravenous drug use. He loves doing these outreaches and gave us a card after sharing about the upcoming block party in August...

One of the realest songs on this album to me is the song titled, "I Forgive You." It's about me arriving at the place in my life where I could forgive one of my friends that killed my cousin. True story. I didn't always feel that way, when it first happened I wanted him dead, Lord knows I wanted to kill him myself. Now I'm gone be real it wasn't over night that I got to that point, but after praying and reading the Bible I saw not only did I need forgiveness myself but I needed to forgive him too. (Matthew 6:14-15) Now these songs are going to stir up some emotions, not just in you but also in the people that it happened to.
These are real stories, this is real life and I didn't just do this for your entertainment! I opened up the door to my life so that you can see no matter how crazy life is, how far we sink down into a recession, where you live, who other people say or think you are, no matter how much wrong you've done, how many drugs you have sold or smoked, how many babies you have, even if you have been struck by disease, if you are mourning the lost of a loved one, or stressting over bills.
I did this to let you know that there is hope, forgiveness, salvation, joy, peace of mind beyond understanding, and eternal life in Jesus. "This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save Sinners of whom I am chief." Until He Returns
