~Came out of prayer somewhere in the middle to write down what the LORD gave.
~Went back into prayer room.
~Not long afterward Mike came home. He needed something. Didn't want to stay long but was so close already to that message scribbled in ink on my desk that in excitement i rushed out of the room to see about sharing it with him. "Do you want me to read it to you?" Tears couldn't stay out of my voice as i tried to read it outloud, out from my heart, making it hard to speak the words clearly. "This is real Christianity."
Mike agreed so I went back into worship, thanking Father God again for letting us do this, touched with His joy because also He had shown how this puts Him back in the atmosphere instead of bitterness and greed, or the blame because of what you think you deserve through self pity. "Oh Thank You LORD so much, I've waited a long time to practice some real Christianity." You see, we would and did already mail out letters to 3 of our 4 tenants who owed us money. One recently lost the job and had the car wreck before taking a ministry trip to Florida to do puppet ministry; Father allowed relief to not only dismiss what was past due but to lighten the burden by reducing over the next two months the rent by $100 and to be a vehicle ride if that was needed. Another renter simply didn't want to pay it and didn't think to owe it. Another one said the monthly income had basically been cut in two and couldn't afford the place but back in the beginning we never took all that before and after money because of trying to help each other out, but now it has been 2.5 months of free rent at our expense, running the past due and free rent up to just under 2,300. What needs to be understood is satan lost. Sin tried to put satan's influence of oppression, bitterness, and bondage in the atmosphere by causing blame (you owe me - blame is a victim mentality), betrayal (don't keep your word or lies), self-defensiveness working through pride and deception (don't think you owe it, and after all, aren't we all a good person so deserve it)... Satan lost! We did not see flesh and blood as our enemy, including our own, but seen God as our source. Was it painful? Sometimes, but since this freedom letter, NO! It feels so good because Jesus is in the atmosphere giving us all emotional freedom and healing, plus, He already sent a new renter. Jesus removed the oppression linking us to what was owed that was being carried around as false hope and increasing our disappointment regularly, and He also removed their debt so they are not oppressed by the weight of broken commitment because honestly, as people, we are trying, i know we are, and although i believe there are a lot of bad people in the world, i don't think these people are trying to be bad or irresponsible on purpose, and could we have used the money... yes. The 4 houses we own are connected to approximately 287,00 worth of debt and the house that owed the most is the one we have never made a dime off of, only lost thousands of dollars, but God is upholding us and our own mistakes so we too are grateful for His favor toward us for missing the mark while He finds a way to still bless us.
