Blue v1-2 Ch 15 Luke
v1 Then all the (STATE) tax collectors and the (Lost) sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. v2 And the (CHURCH) Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, "This Man receives sinners and eats with them."
Interesting how the crowd was a combination of Church and State. A very lost crowd. Jesus was holding a meeting while speaking on the parable of the lost sheep to the Church and State, that He would go after ONE just to find it even if that meant leaving 99 alone in the wilderness.
Somehow the religious leaders thought to have been better than the politicians so had looked down on them. But it's powerless people who do all the complaining. Sometimes we complain whenever feeling powerless... It's not that the Pharisees weren't salvaegable, there will be Pharisees in heaven, and politicians too, also sinners made righteous... Jesus will get rid of our titles and labels and all the negative associations to them as we willing come to Him and lay aside whatever He is asking of you, then He will simply call us by name because He too loves it when we call Him by His~ And it just makes things a lot easier doesn't it.
