Spice of Spices
Blue v34-35 Ch 14 LukeSalt Mounds - Bolivia
Salt is a mineral made up of 2 elements; Sodium & Chloride. The difference between Chloride and Chlorine is that Chlorine is the element and Chloride is the name of it's ion with a charge of negative 1.
Sodium is the primary electrolyte in the body. Too much or too little salt can cause muscle cramps, dizziness, electrolyte imbalance, which can cause neurological problems, so if you work out in the sun or sweat a lot when playing sports, you will be sweating out salt. Drinking water is good but a little salt is probably needed. Mike takes Salt Tablets whenever working outside and sweating much. And in my new African experience last fall, it was easy to find online "Elixir Electrolyte Hydration Supplement Tablets" that dissolve in water and are Berry Flavored but without sugar so is only 10 calories. The tablets contain 6 Elements that are listed on the periodic table. These tablets will supplement all my outdoor summer projects since it gets hot and humid here in the Midwest of America.
Salt is the spice of all spices so if told, "You can only pick one spice!" Then salt it is because it makes food taste delicious single-handedly. And the salt of the bible is the Spirit of the Bible... Every Word that proceeds out from the mouth of the LORD~ Deu 8:3
v34 Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? (That's a really good question-- how do you spice the Spice of all spices?)
v35 It is neither fit for the land nor for the trash dump, but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
~We are the salt of the earth (Matt 5:13), living epistles (2 Cor 3:3), Matthew 6:10 style!
