Painting & Neighbors
So around noon i went over to the rehab to do about 5 hours of painting. Usually the CD Player comes along too but this time the LORD said, "Don't bring it, you're not going to need it." Of which this internal Voice part belonged to Him but my internal voice followed right behind adding the reasons... "Because i'll be outside, traveling from window to window, so won't be able to hear it as well, and don't really want to have to move the player all around, it'll be faster..." The "reasoning" voice was so close behind God's Voice that it all sounded just like me.
Hearing God is not about an ability to reason or not to reason. It's about an ability to rightly divide and obey~ Reasoning is not evil but childish learners assumingly teach that reasoning is incorrect because the biblical Pharisees got caught reasoning and Pharisees are religiously bad... or good... badly good... or good at being bad? Whichever, it doesn't matter. When Jesus the Christ has an issue with your sin, He expects you to be able to "reason." v18 "Come now, and let us reason together," says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. v19 If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land. v20 But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken. Isaiah Chapter One
Signs follow them that believe and you know what happened while out painting on this East Wall? There is a house just on the other side of the alley behind me where some black neighbors live, and just like their culture is which is richly steeped in music, the BBQ-ing neighbors were playing their music really loud! Their 'bless Cindy Girl indeed' music really loud... the song went something like this... 'No one forgives me as good as You Jesus....' (It was some church song - some very likeable church song!!!) Then in another part of the song it witnessed about how Jesus gives a second chance... it was really good, with a good beat, of course! Anyway friends, all the green has been primered and replaced with exterior red brick paint but the camera was full so will get an updated picture soon... We painted the foundation brown, which is perfect in contrast beside the red brick color. And Shaun our AC guy installed the unit on the pad you see there, while Mike replaced the old gutter with this new white one a few weeks ago... it's a cute house~
