v41 And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. v42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."
Martha was distracted with much serving and she didn't like it that her sister Mary got to sit at Jesus' feet taking in His Word while she stayed busy doing all the work! She wanted Jesus to tell her sister to help her! Even insinuating that Jesus didn't care although Martha failed to realize that her request would require of Mary that she be pulled away from sitting at the feet of Jesus. Both woman loved Jesus and were for Jesus, i.e. both are on His side, not the devil's side, but what you look for whenever it seems someone is for God but you don't really know for sure, is not to start confessing how this isn't the Holy Spirit although it sounds good and pure but it's not the Holy Spirit... just a bunch of tricks... is not to base your own life and flow off of someone else's as Martha was doing to Mary in front of Jesus... for honestly, for Martha to insinuate that the LORD didn't care was also an emotional trick that sought to take Mary away from Jesus so Mary could help her when instead Martha should be trying to encourage Mary to stay longer and learn more while sitting at Jesus' feet... And just because Martha was busy and wasn't sitting at Jesus' feet didn't mean Jesus started calling Martha a trick that was not of His Holy Spirit... because the truth is, she too belonged to Him! And Jesus didn't start telling her that her flow wasn't of His Spirit, for it's certain that Jesus doesn't have a problem saying that to your face whenever need be just as He had done in case with Peter when Peter had screwed up by getting into the mind of enmity to where Jesus readily rebuked Satan right to Peter's face because Peter had yielded to thinking and saying the wrong plan..."Satan, get behind Me..." Jesus dealt with it Face to face, He didn't package it up in a prophecy to where nobody knows who you are referring to because after all that can be anybody so now everybody starts questioning every good thing because now it may be false... Jesus dealt with false directly to the false face, leaving suspicion out of it, and He always dealt with it at a relationship level, never leaving the person whom He wanted to correct out of it so that He could go fix it apart from them being directly present, and in this way He kept fault-finding out of it~ Neither did Jesus demote Martha just because she wasn't sitting at His feet like Mary was, but neither did Jesus let Martha demote Mary for doing it... Selah~
The Book Is: Jimmy Carter - The Liberal Left and World Chaos by Mike Evans... have only read those things shared plus two chapters so far. Ordered another book from Coral Ridge Ministries today about Socialism... Been very busy painting over at the rehab so will just have to find time to cram it all in... just like a final~
