Blue  v22-25  Ch 8  Luke
  Blue

It was Jesus' idea to do it so you'd think it would work, but right when you think it would work because of obedience, Jesus goes and takes a nap!  Leaving you seemingly all alone to fend for yourself, which the problem with that is how life has this way of threatening your peace to make you feel like you are perishing, so what do you do?  You do what any good saint would do, you run to Jesus and start begging for help!  Although it should be said that Jesus has this way of looking at things totally different!  He didn't see the storm as some great big problem (v24).  He didn't see their waking Him up from the nap and begging, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" As the real faith prayer so felt obliged to point this out (v25), since Light exposes darkness (Eph 5:13), and in skill was able to do so without condemning because had He done that then He wouldn't have also calmed the big scary storm (v24-25), since condemnation would be giving them what they deserved for failing to walk by faith, respect God, resist vain imaginations...and so on.  But just because they weren't condemned didn't mean Jesus didn't point out their stuff because one duty of Love is not to leave people exactly where they are when they can't see where they are and by their actions are clearly showing this through fear~  zygomaticus major/orbicularis oculi
