A Devil In Church
Blue v33-41 Ch4 Luke
v33-34 A man in church had a spirit of an unclean demon and he cried out loudly
(in the plural) saying, "Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? (why absolutely nothing but glad you asked!) Did You come to destroy us? (why, are you worried about it?) I know Who You are--the Holy One of God! (yes even the devils believe -and tremble! Jms 2:19). v35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!" (a male spirit - a male man) And when the demon had thrown him right in the middle of them all, it came out of him and did not hurt him.
Then after that church service, Jesus went to Simon's house (Peter) and rebuked his mom's fever, and after that the sun starting going down so people starting bringing sick people to Jesus and Jesus "laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, "You are the Christ, the Son of God!" v40-41 (Interesting because many in deliverance ministry think you are not to touch or lay hands on demonized persons for fear of having some strange impartation or transference of spirits take place... Christ comes into a person because that person repented not because someone laid hands on them... salvation is a miracle... healing is a miracle... and the power of Christ can flow through your hands to push back whatever darkness... BUT Christ, the same hope of Glory Christ Who lives on the inside of us who are Born Again, wasn't worried about the laying on of hands or that some of them in this story had demon possession going on because Christ Jesus never made the devil's kingdom bigger than HIS OWN! If you are worried about a devil coming back on you then maybe it is because you need to fast, or perhaps go further by getting to know Christ intimately, because nothing defeats His Power, He always wants to heal and forgive, all the time. If you're bothered by all this then just lead the person to Christ and let Him do all this~
