John or Jesus
Blue v15-16 Ch 3 Lukev15 Now as the people were in expectation, and all reasoned in their hearts about John, whether he was the Christ or not, v16 John answered, saying to all, "I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Interesting because John was born shortly before Jesus so John wasn't that much older so this means there was plenty of time to figure out who he was... further yet, John called them a bunch snakes (brood of vipers!) v7 and asked who had warned them to flee from the wrath to come...? So they obviously weren't expecting Christ to be overly nice. Truthful, yes. John was truthful to point of other people wanting to put him in prison (v19-20). Sin hates the light so is always seeking ways to rid and resist it. Light however carries much power within It's children who have learned to yield to it. And it takes less energy to yield to God's Light than it does for darkness to resist Light.
