v1 After two days it was the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take Jesus by deception and put Him to death.
Amazing how it's made to sound so much nicer by saying 'put Him to death' when it should be saying, 'how they might deceive Him so they could murder Him then remove the threat they felt by His ability to take away their position and followers- and oh did i mention that we don't care if He is righteous or not?! We're the legal authority on God around here and thou shalt not kill, except of course in this case, for surely, we're doing God a favor right?! Although i'm too blind to think about the deception part,' ironically.
It's easy to do that with words when seeking to desensitize the very thing that we don't want to be known for, or are seeking to promote sin so that sin will become easier to accept so that more people can follow it. Like for example, instead of calling you a faget, you are called gay, which actually used to mean you were a happy person. So are you faget, gay, happy, i don't know... but i do know that it's all in how you say it that will determine how it is received... but also, reception is based on authority present, anointing granted, fruit being reaped, sin being exposed, rebellion being trampled out or cast away, while understanding that the spiritual battle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, hosts of wickedness in heavenly places (Eph 6:12).
So if a homosexual is labeled gay, and gay labels straight as homophobic, then why o earthly government does legislation involve itself in slang word definition when from generation to generation words change meaning? In my generation we said, "If you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen!" A joint can represent something you smoke, a place you hang out, or a physical body part. In a court of law, testimony is based upon eye-witnesses, how can hate speech legislation determine inference when it's reduced into deciphering motivated meaning and application by attemping interpretation... and don't forget to throw in some voice tone and body language to complicate things further! So if really we are after doing good around here and have such a great desire to legally clean up society then let's start with ghetto rap? Like what has been heard in my neighborhood, by labeling all the degenerate rap music that promotes hate and cop killing, violence toward woman, or sleeping with your mama, auntie, and whoever else all eight of you can get your hands on, how about it, the Old Testament was all about supporting the Law, so let's use hate speech crimes on stuff like that, and help teach kids to respect their parents, respect authority figures that fight for public safety... how about we raise the real kids so we don't have to clean up after so many adults~ Sounds like a plan
