2 Ways 2 Look @ it

 Blue  v27-33  Ch 11 Mark

In an recent e-mail the subject line read: Most Important E-mail Sent Out To Date

Voice tone has a lot to do with how we interpret the meaning of what someone said but the 'To Date' part sounds like information; just a regular calendar date.  So another way to comprehend this is to say, 'On March 5th, the most important e-mail that has ever been sent out...'  Or, you can read the 'To Date' part as an action instead of as information by comprehensively reading from the angle of knowing that someone knows a lot about boy-girl dating  and is giving some kind of suggestive releasing into action, to go ahead and date and within the e-mail you'll learn why.  But how you chose to interpret matters after knowing how you want to respond.

Caught In Your Own Game~That's Funny!

v27-8 The chief priests, scribes, elders, came to Jesus because they wanted to know by what authority He was doing things and wanted to know who gave Him this authority- because obviously they didn't.  But Jesus too knows well how to answer when being put on the spot so beats them at their own game... v29 I will tell you by what authority I do these things, after you answer My question (and if you answer then you'll get to know).  v30 "The baptism of John-was if from heaven or from men?  Answer Me."

They should have known something was wrong by the way they handled their answer~

v31 If we say from heaven Jesus will say why didn't you believe.  v32 If we say from men, we can't because the people count John as a prophet and we have the fear of man so can't use that as an answer either.  So we'll just lie and say, "We do not know (v33)."  So Jesus gave them an eye for an eye style of ministry answer like they were used to and said, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things."  And this way Jesus could help them reap what they sowed real fast, which was nothing, and keep all the confusion out since they didn't have a clue Who He was because had they known then the Holy Spirit Who brings all things into our remembrance (Jn 14:26) would have reminded that God doesn't bow His knee to the demands of fallen men, and so honestly, Jesus sincerely feed them on a level they were used to, knew, and understood, loving His neighbor as Himself, and since they didn't believe the people knew what they were talking about so showed disrespect toward their value and opinion about who John was, and since they didn't care about John's baptism of repentance, again showing no respect or value for their neighbor, who exactly were they really serving?

Yet in His Kindness, Jesus showed them a picture of themselves- nothing.  It's a little funny because they thought they knew and could lead The Way.  The other part ain't funny but i ain't talkin' about that part~  Just the comical part about the darkness trying to up-change Jesus when Christ can't even be overrun.  It's funny~
