If You Don't Mind Please

 Blue  v31-33  Ch 8  Mark
We are to be for the dwelling place of God in the Spirit (Eph 2:22).  But to get there you must be built on the foundation of apostles and prophets that preach and teach the cornerstone is Christ Jesus (v20), and that we are the rest of the whole building (v21) that is being fitted together, growing into a holy temple in the Lord (v21), thanks to the way Christ Jesus abolished in His flesh the enmity, i.e., the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, making peace, that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity (v15-16).  Through Christ Jesus we both have access by one Spirit to the Father (v18).

As Peter was being discipled or built up and fitted together so he could arrive where he actually fitted in God's Spiritual body, he first encountered some mistakes through the mind of enmity...

The Story
Jesus began teaching that the Son of Man (His human side) must suffer many things, like being rejected severely bad by people such as deacons in the church, highly powerful, well known and respected leaders, even people who really knew the (law) word of God well, and also be killed, yet would after three days rise again (Mark 8:31).

But Peter still needed improvement on how to flow more spiritually minded and discerning, so he threw himself into an unknown learning curve by taking Jesus off to the side to rebuke Him for saying these things because even in his human compassion Peter did not want Jesus to suffer (v32-33), which sounds noble but it came out from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, from the light side of that tree, because compassion is good but when it isn't filtered through the wisdom-motivation of God it must step away from the Tree of Truth to be demoted through the mind of enmity, which mind is rooted in the tree that looks like our tree of Truth, (on the good side anyway), but it is working out the plan of men instead of the plan of God, so now we see Jesus rebuking Satan to Peter's face for having allowed the mind of enmity to pop through his flesh.

v33 But when Jesus turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, "Get behind Me, Satan! (satan means adversary, one who opposes God, Peter's misguided, ill-timed compassion was actually opposing God).  For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."   Here Peter submitted to his carnal mind or Romans 8:7...For to be carnally minded is death... when Jesus rebukes Satan to your face, you know for sure you were flowing in death, and the wages of sin is death (Ro 6:23), and to exalt against God's plan is death, it's sin, it's enmity.  But was Peter cast out of God's inner circle because of this?  No!  Was Peter rejected from his promotion to become an apostle for Jesus?  Christ Jesus?  No! (Matthew 10:2)  Jesus seen to it that He got Peter to grow up so Peter could learn to obey well the rest of Romans 8:6...but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.      Selah Lovely One~   Hugs and kisses for you, but go, tell His disciples-and Peter-that He is going before you...Mark 16:7

Whenever you mess up yet have been tagged by Jesus to be His, Jesus will make sure to give you some extra love to make sure you recuperate from your mistake so to stop the mind battle of rejection and failure~  He knows your own evil mind will play enough tormenting games with you, but it is not like Jesus to keep punishment around when you realize the mistake you made then repent to accept just how Great His Love is.
