Chapter 7
Blue v1-23 / v24-30 Ch 7 MarkJesus just got done dealing with the Pharisees in Chapter 7 for standing on rules that avoided having to help somebody (like their parents), but even worse, it was nullifying the very commandment to honor them, so Jesus reminded them of how well Isaiah prophesied about them as He rebuked them, yet the very next encounter Jesus had was the display of Him standing on rules to dismiss the gentile lady who sincerely wanted His help, but the difference between Jesus and the Pharisees were that Jesus allowed the rule to be overridden by the display of her faith in humility, which then prompted Jesus to do something outside of His scheduled agenda, namely, permit the demon to be dimissed so that this mother's daughter could be freed. Jesus was sent to the lost sheep of Israel and Gentiles were not immediately on the agenda but anytime God sees humble faith in action, even He can't resist making a few adjustments to His over all plan. Also, the Pharisees kept a rule at the expense of life whereas Jesus bent a rule to promote life. And Jesus didn't lose anything by temporarily altering His course of plan, He added peace to someone else ~ Big Difference.
