Job

 Blue  v1-12  Ch 1  Job

Job is blameless, upright (v1), rich (v3), has a large family (v2), is an intercessor (v5), but is still a man and so the story continues...

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD {LORD = tetragrammaton = reference to Father God}, and Satan also came among them. v6

Now that's just interesting because the LORD is the Anointing and in the Presence of the Anointing the yoke is destroyed and so satan is the epitome of a yoke you don't want so of course the adversary, who is standing in the Presence of True Wisdom, isn't the one initiating the conversation with the Holy Anointing, and i'm fully convinced that Father God allowed this because He intended to take Job up higher/deeper so He allowed satan to be there for His purpose of getting rid of the deep-seated fear hidden in Job's spirit (Job 3:25).  (Amazing how blind the devil was about that!  He couldn't even see that Job dealt with some inner fears.)  Just because Job was all this great stuff in verse one didn't mean he couldn't enter more rest.  Besides, as an intercessor, he was doing a great caring thing about not wanting his family to curse God in any way but even intercession can't repent for people so as noble as offering up sacrifices are (v5), it will show that Job is reverent toward God but it won't necessarily make any of his kids repent, that part is still up to them and the condition of their heart, but at least intercession will give a fighting chance to make the choice clear and unquestionable.  Plus, Father God is good about giving us good fruit so we don't have to worry about that either.  He's Faithful to bless us!

Job had a lot to lose and when you have a lot to lose you will take certain measures to be sure not to lose it.  It feels pretty good to be well known, rich, known for integrity, have one good story after another to share with your friends about all your kids and God-fearing life style... so here there is a great reputation to lose if something bad happened so i'm sure Job considered this as he showed in the way he offered sacrifices with intercession.  He feared God on one hand but was doing it with fear on the other.  It was a mix and now God was getting ready to deliver him from the mix to increase his peace~

We live in a dangerous neighborhood but that was when we first moved here, it is 100% better now in comparison.  We used to talk about what would i do if some guy broke in while i'm home alone, do i shoot to kill or just shoot him in the leg?  We were told that you have to shoot to kill because a poor man has nothing to lose and that if you don't they will turn around and sue you... it was so unbelievable to hear but there is an element of truth to it... when a thug has nothing to lose, it's easy to shoot.  When a non-thug has a family, house, kids, a good job, and something to live for, you think twice about consequences because you have something to live for and you don't want it taken away.  God wanted Job to have more than the hearing of the ear about Who God is...for Job confessed (Ch42:3) I have uttered what i did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which i did not know... v5 i have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You~  God wanted Job to See Him.  For in that seeing is the Rest of God~
