More Than A Prophet

John The Baptist, a Prophet & Messenger

Matthew 11:9  Jesus said of John... "Were you looking for a prophet?  Yes, and he is more than a prophet (#4396).

Prophet Word Study
G#4396 prophetes = from a comp. of 4253 & 5346; a foreteller ("prophet"); by anal. an inspired speaker; by extens. a poet: -prophet.  #4253 pro; in front of, prior (fig. superior) to: -above, ago, before, or ever.  In comp. it retains the same significations.  #5346 phemi; to show or make known one's thoughts, i.e. speak or say: -affirm, say.

v10 John is the man whom the Scriptures refer to when they say,
'Look, I Am sending (#649) My messenger (#32) before You, and he will prepare Your way (#1870) before You.  Matthew 11:10 NLT

"Behold, I send (#7971) My messenger (#4397), and he will prepare the way (#1870) before Me.  Malachi 3:1  NKJV

Look, I Am apostello My aggelos before You, and he will prepare Your hodos before You.

Behold, I shalach My malak, and he will prepare the derek before Me.

Notes:   In Strong's Concordance for Angel Listings, in most every case
                the Greek Number for Angel is #32, the Hebrew Number for 
                Angel is #4397.  The word Messenger in most case listings in
                Hebrew is #4397; Greek #32.  Jesus defined John the Baptist
                as more than a prophet...

Look I Am setting apart and sending out on a mission My angel/pastor/messenger before Jesus, and John the Baptist will prepare Jesus' road/highway before Jesus comes.

"Behold, I (Father God) shoot forth/sow/send away My angelic/prophetic messenger, John the Baptist (filled with My Holy Spirit from the womb), and he will prepare the course of life road/journey before (My Son) Jesus.
