Apology Language

Blue Love

Hello everyone!  Just finished doing dishes and cleaning up after our group meeting tonight here at the house.  Tonight we all took the test to figure out how we like to apologize so had learned that Sharon will request forgiveness, Kacy will express regret and/or accept responsibility, Jen will make restitution, Ali will express regret and accept responsibility, Steve will accept responsibility and express regret, Mike will accept responsibility, both Christy and Ragena took the test online so Christy tested for accepting responsibility and making restitution and Ragena tested for expressing regret and accepting responsibility, and i will accept responsibility and express regret, so this is our language style of apology.    Here is an example of the type of questions we had to answer to figure out how we "sincerely mean it" when we apologize...

It's getting late and need to wash myself up, maybe tomorrow God let's me share a little more about this... it's really good stuff to know because if you've ever had somebody say "I'm sorry," but it doesn't feel like they were sincere when really you just needed to understand their language of apologizing, then this information can save relationships and get rid of that need to change the other person because of thinking they were doing it wrong or werent' really sorry when all it really was is you both say sorry a different way but indeed the apology was authentic.   It's a good book!  See ya tomorrow, love ya~
