there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word."

v13 Elijah said to the widow at Zarephath... "but first make a small cake of bread for me."
The widow is Elijah's elder so out of respect, servant-leadership, and etiquette, he should be getting her the water, BUT, not when you have a Word from the LORD.
God had a great Word to bless the widow but only after she believed the prophet and prospered, which required Christianity to be practiced~
She had to : hear
believe it
do it by faith
then Jms 2:22 proved she died to:
fear
self-preservation
offense (that he
even asked her
to do this after
knowing how
needy she was)
She engaged in : hope
faith
serving
giving
providing
her needs being met
a vision to live instead of to die
