Two Health
Blue v1-2 Ch 23 2 SamDownload | Duration: 00:05:45
v1 The oracle of David...the oracle of the man exalted by the Most High, the man anointed by the God of Jacob, Israel's singer of songs.
v2 The Spirit of the LORD spoke through me; His Word was on my tongue.
You have to find the balance between arrogance and false humilty (=pride) and learn to embrace the truthful fact of your position in a healthy way without self-rejecting. You have to be able to say who you are, admit, embrace, flow, as well as point it back to your source (Father God) so as to obey the 2 commandments that sum up all the law & prophets (Mt 22:37-40).
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate; Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure; It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us; Your playing small does not serve the world; There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you; We were all meant to shine as children do; It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone; And as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same; As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others...
David knew his position and knew it came from God. To love God and love your neighbor "As Yourself" in a healthy way, then you must be able to embrace who you are without pretending to be less or more. If you can't ever say it or admit it, how could you effectively flow in it? Distortion is unhealthy. If you're actually good at something but you have to pretend you're not that good so people don't think you're prideful is sick. If you run around bragging instead of letting someone else state the obvious so that their lips can praise you- this also is sickness. David above was merely supplying an honest assessment without apology, without doing it through these two sicknesses of arrogance and false humility. He knew his place and he knew his place came from God. Period. Amen. Instead of flowing unhealthy by trying to love his neighbor as himself through identity distortion- David could now love his neighbor as himself in a healthy way because he's flowing healthy in knowing who he is in Christ.
