Mind's Eye

Trying to find the Lamb in this story but David hadn't obeyed the LORD in this story...
His eye stood captivated by a beautiful woman; David couldn't get her out of his mind; he followed the vision until he got what he wanted, setting aside self-control to where sin took him farther than he wanted to go; acting even in the way that Saul had treated him when wanting to kill an innocent man which unfortunately David achieved. The Spirit of God lifted off of David for the adultery and murder he committed to where in the Psalms we see David begging God not to take His Spirit from him because God is a deep gift of peace that only in the Holy Spirit do we find what truly feels good to us. No woman, no man, no sex, no money, no titled job, no family member, no identity, can hold a candle next to having internal peace from God in the Presence of a cleared conscience.
When we walk away from God; God walks away from us. When we run to God, He opens His arms wide to embrace us. There are consequences for our sin and we must not pretend forgiveness dismisses consequences but also we must remember that restoration is not forever lost for God already said that He began a good work in us and He will be faithful to complete it (Phil 1:6). ~David learned that God's anger lasted a moment but His favor lasted a lifetime (Ps 30:5).
