v9 After David and his men got their stuff back, meaning out of 600 men (v10) only 400 did the actual fighting while 200 stayed behind being too exhausted to fight.  v24 David however, wanted all 600 to get the same reward regardless that the 400 bore the heat of the battle, but all the evil men and troublemakers among David's following said, "We will not share...the plunder we recovered."  (Fine- next time our country goes into war & the bad guy wants to kill somebody we'll just send him to your house because you didn't want to unify to defend the country so why should we go to war to fight for protection and then share the reward of being protected with you...?)

The choleric personality Demands Justice and Demands that everything be Fair.  One quarter for you, one quarter for me!  Problem is, God's manifestation of Justice doesn't always look Fair.  God will forgive the person who committed 50 sins just as He will forgive the person who committed 10 sins, and God will give them the same reward of salvation.  God looks at it as it is He that empowered you to do what you are doing anyway so what does it matter to you who gets what...  "All will share alike (v24)" in God's Kingdom.

 Matthew Ch 20
v2  One Denarious A Day - No matter what time you got sent out.

v2        some worked all day
v3        3rd hour of the day
v5        6th hr
v5        9th hr
v6,12  11th hr (some worked only 1 hour)

When the workers who worked longer or all day received the same reward they complained (v11), supposing to receive more for bearing the heat of the day (v12).  Christ reminded how they agreed to work all day for 1 denarius, then He challenged their motive (v13).  "Friend, I Am doing you no wrong, did you not agree...?  Is it not lawful for Me to do what I wish with My own things?  Or is your eye evil because I Am Good? (v15)

Sometimes what is Just to God is to give you what you don't deserve, not only what you think you do deserve, especially when He's dealing with forgiveness issues.
