v1 David decided to leave the region of Saul and head for escape in the land of the Philistines, seeing it as the lesser of 2 evils. King Achish favored David so gave him the town of Ziklag where David & his men lived for 16 months.
David's faith believed that if he left that Saul would stop looking for him (v1) and his faith produced this result because after Saul heard of it he stopped searching for him (v4).~The just shall live by faith.

Key to getting results is in the ability to separate what we want to happen or need to happen from what we really believe will happen- Generally we pick our want over our belief then call that Hope. Sometimes we have to hope for a long time when we do that because we think God should produce the miracle to fix the story so it reads the way we want it to but God does the miracle at the Faith level so however long it takes Hope to get there is how long it's going to take... yet the good thing about Hope is it still gives us energy because it is positive.
