I Did It

Father God choose the humble, responsible man~

Saul is such a poor leader that nobody wants to tell him anything, never knowing how he's going to act.  They've seen firsthand that he'll kill people for no real good reason.  He makes irrational decisions and is out of his mind in the way he puts concepts together.

 Saul's Methods
v7 Will David give all of you fields & vineyards?  Will he make you commander over thousands, of hundreds?

*The false prophet or person lures through the lust of the flesh, making it sound like some magical formula where you can get something, get somewhere, or get into shape without having to workout much less sweat or experience pain in your workout.

v8  Is that why you have all conspired against me?  No one tells me when my son makes a pack (covenant) with David.  None of you is concerned about me.

*Accusation layered throughout Saul's egocentric self-pity party.  He wants people to feel sorry for him but when you look at what he is doing, he's crazy, he wants to kill someone who has done him no wrong, and now we are supposed to feel sorry for you for what reason exactly?

The Edomite serving in Saul's midst had no problem turning on the Israelite Jewish priests, what are they to him?  He could care less.  Doeg killed 85 priests in Nob all because crazy Saul can't see or think straight (v18).

One son of the priests had escaped to David who is still in his right mind, who instead of passing blame took responsibility for all these 85 deaths because he knew that day that Doeg seen him there in Nob that he would tell Saul.  This is character to admit he fell short in failing to warn those priests yet because he lied about his reason for being there he couldn't warn them because you can't lie and tell the truth at the same time anymore than you can kill and save life at the same time.  David knew he lied so didn't blame anyone else for this but unlike Adam who blamed Eve (Gn 3:12) and Eve who blamed the devil (Gn 3:13), neither had taken responsibility for their own sin, still wanting to pass the buck to the other person who did wrong in the story instead of repenting, playing the victim instead of the transgressor.

When i admit it then i can hide in Christ.  When i say he/she did it then try to hide not in Christ but behind another human because now can make it look like their fault, this will become the lie working against real salvation.  It is when we confess "our" faults one to another and not "their faults" that we may then pray and become healed (Jms 5:16).
