 Blue  Ch 18-19  1 Sam

18:2 Saul realized the LORD was with David...becoming still more afraid of him, he remained his enemy the rest of his days.

19:2 Saul is looking for a chance to kill David... v5 Jonathan asked his dad Saul, why would he do wrong to an innocent man like David by killing him for no reason since Saul benefited him by taking his life into his own hands when he killed Goliath and the LORD won a great victory for all Israel, and that Saul had seen this, even was glad about it.

18:10 The fight was about that tormenting evil spirit that was with Saul that was fighting God's Spirit Who was with David (v28).

19:6 Saul listened to Jonathan saying, "As surely as the LORD lives, David will not be put to death."   *This is the real Saul that Jesus made but...

19:9-10 Saul couldn't keep his word whenever this evil spirit came on him to influence his action-reactions.  Saul tried to pin David to the wall with his spear.  This evil spirit didn't want God's Spirit to use David to advance the Kingdom of God because where then does the evil spirit go?  Only the devil's kingdom comes to kill, steal, and destroy (Jn 10:10).  Jesus' Spirit (Jn 4:24) comes to give us life (Jn 10:10) and when God is for you (Ro 8:31) it doesn't matter who is against you because God's plan will remain since darkness cannot bring His plan down because even though i believe Saul is on God's side inspite of the fact that this craup is happening in the middle of his life, it had not been God's plan to give the people a king like the other nations had when God was already their King, so of course this plan failed... being brought down but since God is good about fixing our mistakes, He gave a ruler that would rule after His own heart.
