~Samuel & Saul dialogue: Saul admits the LORD turned away
from him and won't answer him. Samuel says the LORD did
what he predicted and had torn the kingdom away from him
but wanted to know "why do you consult me, now that the
LORD has turned away from you and become your enemy?"
Then Samuel prophesies that tomorrow Saul and his sons
would be with him. Meaning Saul was going to die the next
day.
You have to ask on what side of the track did Samuel end up? Saul ended up on that same side. Because in death i believe Samuel died on the LORD's side but here we see something about the faithfulness of God Who is letting Saul still end up where Samuel ended up even after all his errors...The LORD said..."He will be gracious to whom He will be gracious, and He will have compassion on whom He will have compassion." Ex 34:19
No matter what happens inbetween, Love always believes (1 Cor 13:7) and will not stop believing by faith in the grace of His Salvation (Ep 2:8) even if we screw up as much as Saul; we can't stop believing in Salvation. Revering the LORD is the place to put hope against hope like Abraham did, realizing that He is in charge, for it wasn't an evil spirit sent to Saul on account of the satanic kingdom authority, for that kingdom too is subservient to the Victory Jesus won over all spirits, and although we will be repaid for our evil as Saul was repaid for his evil disobedience, at the end of his life...
God moved the motion to dismiss... leaving us as always at the Mercy of God.
