 Blue  v15 Ch 13  1 Sam

~Saul had 600 men when he lost the kingdom.
~David picked up where Saul left off regardless
that other things had happened inbetween,
or that more were added after the 600, David
started with 600 men which would corrolate to
the plan God had.  No matter which leader had
the charge, the steps were not allowed to be
   skipped.

1 Sam 13:15  Then Samuel left Gilgal...and Saul counted
the men who were with him...600.

1 Sam 23:13  So David & his men, about 600 in number...
kept moving from place to place.  When
Saul was told that David has escaped...
                        v15 When David was...in the Desert...he
learned that Saul had come to take his life.
Jealousy is as cruel as the grave (Canticles 8:6)

No matter that Saul reigned 42 years over Israel (13:1), once he "acted foolishly (v13)" by 'not keeping the command the LORD gave him (v13),' Samuel prophesied "now your kingdom will not endure; the LORD has sought out a man after His own heart and appointed him (David) leader of His people (v14)."  Saul became fiercely jealous of David, wanting to destroy his life, blinded by his own cruel jealousy because David was being raised up to take his place and even though Saul still got to reign for 42yrs because the gifts and call of God are irrevocable (Ro 11:29), Saul did not enjoy it because sin caused God's peaceful Spirit to be exchanged for satan's tormenting jealous spirit.
Jealousy is an evil, miserably, divisive spirit~

Transparency that seeks to reign and embrace the kingdom of God with righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Ro 14:17) will succeed, even endure.  Hope is in knowing God wills and wants to give us His Spirit if we will let go of all this other stuff to embrace Christ Jesus.
