v1 Nahash the Ammonite (Jordanian) went up and beseiged Jabesh Gilead. All the men of Jabesh said to him, "Make a treaty with us, and we will be subject to you."

Although unlikely Jabesh Gilead is territorial located in Israel, it is biblically mentioned in connection with King Saul's and King David's battles against the Ammonites. Why Nahash the Jordanian (Ammonite) carried an attitude of hatred toward all Israeli's seemed unfounded and how can you hate your own distance relative like that? Could you imagine answering how you are good at shaming people after being asked what are you good at doing?
