The First Establishes The Rest~
After Hannah suffered through the humility of being mocked for barrenness (1:6-7), God finally gave her Samuel (1:20) which Hannah in turn dedicated back to God for the entirety of Samuel's life (1:11). Hannah surrendered her firstfruit offspring, the only child she had, and just when you'd think she'd paid the price and here's your healing answer, she must now keep her vow by giving it up. After all that mockery and pain it looks like she is going back to square one... But, because Hannah kept integrity and followed through with her words to God that Samuel would belong to Him, after Samuel was weaned (1:24) Hannah took him to the house of the priest where Samuel was then raised (1:22). She allowed her first & foremost, the very best she had to be laid down, to be given away- she laid down her healing and she gave it away, her answer to all those years of pain and suffering, yet, the first establishes the rest so this motivating righteousness lead into having 7 children (2:5) total. How 7=perfect is that? Cannot out give God when giving is for the right reason.
Both God and Hannah know what it's like to surrender all. To lay down Your Answer so that it can bring an Answer for many more.
