v6-7 The LORD closed Hannah's womb. Her rival kept provoking her in order to irritate her year after year til she wept and wouldn't eat.
v10 In bitterness of soul Hannah wept much and prayed to the LORD.
v11 Making a vow...
...LORD, if you will look at my misery and remember me, and not forget about me but give me a son, I'll give him back to you all his life.
v27-28 I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what i asked of Him so now i give him to the LORD for his whole life.
Interesting how the pressure put on Hannah, even though it wasn't good but rather cruel and insensitive, was still something to be used for her good in the long run.
Everything happens for a reason so let patience have its perfect work (Jms 1:4).
Instead of being known as the woman who couldn't produce, Hannah became known as the mother who produced the honorable Samuel- Leader, Prophet, Priest, and Judge... who "Went Down In His-tor-y."
