 Blue  v1-10 Ch 19 Jud

 3's a crowd
when flies are in the ointment (Eccl 10:1)

v1  A Levite took a concubine from Bethelem in Judah (v2) but she was unfaithful to him.  She left him & went back to her father's house.  4 months later he tried to get her back so ended up at her dad's house.

Word minus Spirit = Legalism
Spirit minus Word = Out of Control Emotionalism
                        Word plus Spirit = Balance

Fun, Fun, Fun- the dad's example, no wonder why she was unfaithful... she was in tune with wanting her emotions to feel good but wasn't in tune with any rules needed to govern and discipline her life-

Sin: the lie told self when you're so dead that you can't feel pain, making the ability to hurt others easily of no matter.

v4 The father-in-law prevailed upon the Levite to stay.  So for 3 days it was eating, drinking, and sleeping.  v5 By the 4th day he was ready to go but the father-in-law wanted more R&R time.

 Refresh Yourself (eat, drink) v5
Enjoy Yourself (stay the night) v6

By the 5th day the father-in-law still wanted to party & have fun... no work, just fun.

Refresh yourself, wait til afternoon!  (v8)
So the 2 of them ate together (v8)

By evening time the Levite was sick of it and just wanted to go yet still the father-in-law lured (v9)

                                 Spend the night
                                                    Stay
                                                    Enjoy Yourself

Have some more fun.  Party Hardy.  But the Levite realized the imbalance then left.  He went back to the city that offers true peace (v10)(Jerusalem=peace), where the people work and play.
