 Blue  v14-19 Ch 14 Jud

  Out of the eater, something to eat;
  Out of the strong, something sweet.

v14  Out of the (Lion of the tribe of Judah) eater, (Jesus gave) something to eat; Out of the strong (loved not His Life unto death but laid it down for our sin {Jn 10:15)}, something sweet (and out came Salvation for the fallen soul).

v14   For 3 days the Philistines could not give the answer (to Samson's riddle of the Rose).

Jesus died & arose within 3 days (Jn 2:20-22).  When you don't know Him this way like the Philistines did not know, then what is left is to come in through the back door instead of the front door to obtain victory or salvation.

Jn 10:1  Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold (into God's house and care) by the door (Christ Jesus), but climbs up some other (Philistine) way, the same is a thief and a robber.

v18  Samson said to the (back door) Philistines,

                 "If you had not plowed with my hiefer,
                   you would not have solved my riddle."

 Sounds easier to just come in through the front door.

 v19 Then the Spirit of the LORD
came upon Samson in power...

...and Samson knew that he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep, for to Him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear His voice; and He calls them by name and leads them out (Jn 10:2-3).
