The Split
Blue v16, 20 Ch 14 Jud
v16 Samson's wife threw herself on him sobbing, "You hate me! You don't really love me. You've given my people a riddle, but you haven't told me the answer."
v16 "I haven't even explained it to my father or mother," he replied, "so why should i explain it to you?"
~What is this relationship going on here? He is supposed to be doing
Gn 2:24/Mt 19:5.
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Why isn't Samson doing this? Samson would run to his mommie and daddy for advice & counsel, still hanging on emotionally to his parents, which is good to have close relation with them and seek their experience but his wife is being displaced into an improper position. Samson's comment shows that he has not given his wife her proper place within his life for Samson was not yet obeying Matthew 19:5 and surely disobedience will cause division if it is not dealt with then turned back around.
v20 Samson's wife was given to the friend who had attended at his wedding.

~ If you love Me, obey Me
Jn 14:15
