Samson wanted this Philistine girl but his parents couldn't understand it because as far as they knew God had not changed the rules about intermarriage (Deu 7:3) with other nations for reason being that the nation not serving God would turn their heart away from serving the LORD.

When the LORD decides to raise up deliverance He will do a New or Unexpected thing. In this particular strategy it was wiser to allow the story to unfold as it went then to declare an "if-then" clause or obvious principle used to guide. God simply expected everyone to live by Faith and Trust. God can do something opposite to what He once declared without needing to check-in for approval because only will He ever have our best interest at heart so it is ok to go ahead and trust Him- He's patiently working through a process to bring deliverance and inner healing that our freedom is truly heartfelt.
