 Blue  v1-11 Ch 11 Jud

Pro 18:16  A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.

~Everything Happens For A Reason

Jephthah's mom was a prostitute but Jephthah was a great warrior and his step-mom gave his dad Gilead sons but they didn't like him so drove him off to where Jephthah found a place to live in Tob.  He was a leader so this group of adventurers gathered round him to follow him.  After time passed, Israel found itself in a state of war that was initiated by the Ammonites so the desperate elders of Gilead (Jephthah's relatives) came to him.  "Come... be our commander so we can fight."

~Now wouldn't that just make you want to say something punishing like...

...Forget You!  You want me to come help you but you don't even care about me!  Didn't even want me to have an inheritance from "our father" because you didn't like my mother so hated me and made it miserable for me until i left because who can live around people who hate you?  But now you are the one in the trouble and you want me to come bail you out.  Why should I?  You didn't even come say sorry first... do you know what i had to go through after you did that to me?  And now you want to act like nothing happened? Just come save you, come fight for you cause you know i'm a good warrior, are you serious?  Is this some sick joke?

~Attitude Is Everything

v11 So Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead (his relatives), and the people made him head and commander over them.

~Personal sin affects more people then we care to admit, becoming even blind to it that we may continue to do it.

                ~Your Latter Shall Be Greater~

~Instead of wishing for a few brothers to like you, now the whole clan does.
~Instead of just being a mighty warrior, now you get to be head and commander.
~Instead of being the sole outcast, now you're the center of need and attention.
