Blue v1, 17 Ch 8 Josh
v1 Then the LORD said to Joshua...do not be discouraged...go up and attack Ai...they left the city open...
...he makes goals & writes them down. Sometimes they come to pass the way he thought, sometimes they don't come to pass at all, sometimes God changes them and they come to pass in part... sometimes they come to pass better than he thought (future).
When Ai couldn't be taken the 1st time because the plan got messed up, the opportunity existed to just take one day at a time until the 2nd Chance arrived to make the ladder greater (future)...
19th Sat - blogged vacation plan
20th Sun - BBQ. 1:46pm Christy called. Forgot she had church camp this week;
laborers were few so instead she would try to be here on Wednesday
the 23rd and would call me Monday the 21st.
21st Mon - No Phone Call. Failing to keep word made me feel lied to. Became
very unproductive & put me into an invisible "waiting" zone. As a planner
change is difficult after having taken the time to research the plan, organize
the plan, print off maps/agendas, even pay online for some stuff in advance
to save "waiting in line" time, then go over the plan with you and hear you
agree with the plan, then to see it fall apart will take some time to process
disappointment because of feeling like now we're wasting time that was
never delegated nor can be because i'm waiting for you to call me to tell me
how to go about rearranging another plan... but with no call this isn't possible.
*Expectation can drop you flat. Maybe that's why Eccl says to cast your
bread in more than one place cause of not knowing what evil will be on the
earth (Eccl 11:1-2). Hold on loosely & make a back up plan... what power
does expectation then have?
22nd Tue - Called house - answer machine- left no msg. Called cell - phone not
turned on.
23rd Wed - Called house - answer machine- left no msg. Called cell - no answer.
Called right back to leave message. Jim had cell so called back saying sis
was at church camp on Monday. Called house @ 1:36pm; she must be up
at the camp. She's going to come next Sunday & take off from work
Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday.
24th Thur - me and Pat went to tea sipping party. Guess what Joani (Akers)? Remember
when we took those items to the Indian? woman and her family and she
gave us that very hot, very sugary/spicy drink... i finally found out what it was!
Indian Chai. It is a cinnamon based tea from India
2 world's largest producers of tea. Tea is the world's #1 beverage. 3 billion
cups per day. Most tea is processed CTC (machine-intensive method) but
heat & oxygen control the element of oxidation & flavor. In black teas the
goal is to control oxidation, in green tea it is to stop oxidation. Biodynamic
agriculture is a step up from organic. The #1 favorite tea of Germans is
North India Manjhee Valley (lite-yellow looking tea). Here's a toast to
Camellia-Sinensis-Sinensis. 2 leaves and a Bud.

25th Fri - Cedar died before 3pm. Took her to vet yesterday morning to get
powerful medicine over Baytril, some high calorie food, to receive an
injection of B-vitamins, antibiotics, & hydration water. In earlier part
of 2000 we went to New York to visit friends. The hot water hose had
backed out of dishwasher, flooded, and ruined the house. That hissing
noise had scared Cedar who fell face first in her cage knocking out her top
teeth. Once home from New York, back at the house, Mike took care of the
flood while instantly could feel something wrong with one of the animals so
paid no attention to the flood, went straight to Cedar who looked up to me
crying in pain, her face swollen. The girl had not eaten nor was the peanut
pile diminished so this happened soon after we left. She was in pain for the
days we were gone. Mike moved her cage into our room where its peaceful.
For pain & swelling i crush aspirin to help her out then begin speaking softly
to her about the Holy Spirit because of knowing that His Presence will bring
peace in the room and calm her, make her feel safe and that everything is
going to be ok. He did bring His warm atmosphere and kept us both calm,
it was Sunday and no vet open so at bedtime her cage was placed next to
me by the bed where i put my arm in her cage all night so she wouldn't
feel alone and she laid on my arm all night until next day at the vet. The
missing teeth left a hole in her upper mouth so eating was a continual
struggle. Cashews were crushed into powder just so she could eat. Did
this for her for years. Cedar would get peanut dust in this mouth hole
for it was unavoidable but sometimes it made her sick. Most times she'd
overcome it but this time was the worst and she couldn't, even though i
prayed, wanting the Holy Spirit to do a miracle but it just wasn't going to
happen. We loved Cedar, our most friendly squirrel, the only one who let
strangers play with her. The only one that with eyes already opened yet
not quite full grown, showed up one day at the bottom of our front porch
steps then walked right into Mike's hand. We've had 10 squirrels total.
After Cedar, we now have 4 left.
26th Sat - Went to Jefferson & Cass Outreach today. Mike's been going for awhile
to help out under the Bike Repair Tent. He made this little friend Amijah
and was so impressed that he helps without asking for anything that one
day Mike asked him where his bike was and learned he didn't have one.
Mike took him to walmart and bought this yellow one you see with the
cousin sitting on it. Amijah comes and just helps.

Today i helped serve Beef Stroganoff then pick up trash on the lot. It's
hard to be in picture when you take the picture...

After the outreach Mike and i went here and
enjoyed the Aquariumas well as crawled around in caves, forts, tunnels... there are even outdoor
metal mazes to climb/crawl/walk up from site to site. Very interesting!
Would still enjoy taking sister so hopefully she calls me tomorrow to let me
know what the final plan is.../...?...@...
