Fruit - Part II

v1 Listen...hear...the words of my mouth.
v2 Let my teaching (Moses is teaching of a future that hasn't happened
yet and in this there is the messy side).
(Moses is giving this very negative word and in modern times had this
word went forth we would think you were being used by the devil).
v5 They have acted corruptly toward Him; to their shame they are
no longer His children but a warped & crooked generation. (See,
what would you do with a word like that?) Edify, Encourage... yeah
that's New Testament... got cha' don't worry.
Moses was told the future by the LORD, instructed to write a song for the LORD about His children's behavior because as His prophet Moses had a responsibility to bring the future into today along with some hope, while not pretending like the sin part is ok, for it too must be confronted or else how do we know to repent since our blindspots do not let us see our own sin. The New Testament calls that a case of the Light exposing the Darkness (Eph 5:11, 13) or (Mt 15:14) the blind can't lead the blind so in blindness there is no such thing as leading oneself, making being the god of self the lie that it is, an illusion of deception.
So what did they do?v15 rejected the Rock, the Savior
v16 found some foreign gods to idolize
v21 surrendered their heart over to worthless idols
v17 sacrificed to demons which are not gods
v20 were unfaithful
So what was the fruit from these lies?v24 caught some diseases
v24 experienced food shortages
v25 were childless
v33 became gossipers & were eaten up by hate
v25 didn't get to have much peace in their home, constant fighting
That could make u feel like a burnt bulb~Religion has this way of making someone else's sin the fault of another healer whenever it is looking "in part" at an "incomplete" story, assuming that good fruit couldn't be there at all because of still being able to see some sin and yet it fails to realize that when sin happened in a human life it involved more than one person to get in there and it will also take more than one person (healer) to be used by the LORD to fix it. Who knows what Moses had to go through after He wrote this song and they had to sing it per the LORD. They were about to enter the land of milk and honey where nothing but good things would be happening to them so could you imagine how false, negative, crazy Moses must have looked?
Moses! Who gets them out of one kind of bondage yet still there is more craup that must be dealt with that will be handled by another leader in another time in another place of their life. This mistake to make one person the cure-all isn't helping progress.
So what do we do?There was this one time when home-schooling 4 troubled teenagers that i received a phone call from the Youth Pastor that lived a couple houses down from mine. These girls were considered every Youth Pastor's Nightmare. They had many issues, one was an Marylyn Mason worshipper, who cut herself with razors and said she would follow him to hell, another was sexually abused by her then absent father, and another who had a very yucky family life, with the last girl being related to me by marriage who had tried to commit suicide 2x's before coming to live with me, as well as having spent time in a mental institution, with abuses in the upbringing as well. When the social worker called my house we were the last resort because she had already been filtered through everyone else and nothing was really working.
The day began with discipleship using material the LORD lead me into writing. We stood in my living room holding hands in a circle to offer up prayers, also we would enter some praise and worship before sitting on the living room floor while the Spirit flowed in healing. Their hearts would open, their tears would fall, stories would be shared, love be given, it was safe. The secrets were safe. For instance, if we were learning about the Love of God then on that list is one Character trait "Patience." The girls were to find some real story from their life where they were to share a time they had witnessed Patience in action. This is where the Holy Spirit would start His work and do some healing because the stories would manifest. This was all good fruit and it was healing some things within them. Not all things because as i said it takes more than one healer. We miss it when we think you are not good fruit because clearly there are more issues left to deal with. Salvation is free. Sanctification is a process. Please stop judging during the sanctification process before the time because usually we are judging our own inadequacy (Ro 2:1, Jms 4:11-12, Jn 5:30).
The day of the call was not pleasant for me nor favorable. The accusation in the Youth Minister's question said to me, "I don't know what you think you are doing!" This was amazing to me because i held ministers as high almost as God, because of the office they held. Instead what should have been said was Thank God that she's not trying to commit suicide anymore. Thank God they are learning something other than the pain they knew. Thank God! Thanking God is Good Fruit.
