geosphere = land  e.g. earth's core, mantle & crust: ocean floor
                                                   metals, sand, asphalt, bricks, rocks,
                                                   mountains, continents

hydrosphere = water  e.g. glaciers, polar ice caps, rain, snow, 
                                               oceans, lakes, ground water

atmosphere = air  e.g. oxygen, nitrogen, water vapor,
                                         ozone, wind

biosphere = life  e.g. plants, humans, animals, insects, microbes

Processes that move matter & energy from one sphere to another
are called "sphere interactions."

Plants (biosphere) draw water (hydrosphere) & nutrients from the soil (geosphere) & release water vapor into the atmosphere.  Humans (biosphere) use farm machinery (manufactured from geosphere materials) to plow the fields, & the atmosphere brings precipitation (hydrosphere) to water the plants.

Energy from the sun is stored by plants (biosphere).  When humans or animals (biosphere) eat the plants, they acquire the energy originally captured by the plants.  Humans expend some of this energy arranging bricks & wood (geosphere/biospere) into buildings.

12:46am Friday, the Delta 2 Rocket blasted off carrying US-French satellite called Ocean Surface Topography Mission Jason 2.  A Monitory Satelitte that will use a radar altimeter to precisely measure the height of the ocean surface, which changes depending on temperature.  Data is to be used to monitor effects of climate change on sea level & to hopefully improve global weather, climate & ocean forecasts, NASA said.

 The story centers around a practical joke played on the Queen by Don for revenge.  One of his slaves Ruy Blas has secretly fallen in love with the Queen.  The Don disguises Blas as a nobleman & takes him to court.  Blas is intelligent & generous, becoming popular, is appointed prime minister and begins useful reforms, conquering the queens heart.  Don returns to take his revenge by cruelly humiliating Blas commanding him to close the window & pick up his hankerchief while explaining the condition of Spanish politics.  Blas kills him & decides to commit suicide with poison yet at the point of death Blas is forgiven by the Queen who openly declares her love for him.      ~Tragic Drama with Hope and finally some Love?
