Want to deal with something that Oprah said on the YouTube video.  She was in Baptist church and everything was wonderful for her concerning belief towards God but then said that when she heard preacher say God was a jealous God that it kind of ruined it for her.  She didn't understand how He could be jealous...?  Her ex-preacher is right, God is jealous.  Would like to do word study for you that you may understand what is meant by God is a jealous God and what it really means.  See, ministers can only give "in part" (1 Cor 13:9) the story or revelation of God and also we are instructed to study to show ourselves approved (2 Tim 2:15).  Whenever we don't apply (Ep 2:6-8) the gift of faith towards the preaching we will perish due to lack of knowledge (Pro 29:18).  The reason Love is greater (1 Cor 13:13) than all the "in part" revelation knowledge is because had Patience, one manifestation of Love (1 Cor 13:4), been applied to the preaching to wait for an explanation, then her question could have been answered.  One thing is always certain, God is Good (Matt 19:17).  Whenever knowledge (Jms 3:15-17)causes you to doubt this, always apply love (Ep 3:19) and wait (Ps 27:14) for Him, He's a Good Father.  He respects your will so much that He lets you chose( Deu 30:19) "the way" you want to go.  He is "the Way" to salvation (Heb 9:8-12), but if you want another way (Jms 4:1-3)), He doesn't control you like that, He doesn't like it that you would go the way that will end up hurting you, especially since He died and arose for you (Lk 24:46-47), but He won't stop you if that's what you want to do.  He'll let you go to hell if you want to, that's how much He doesn't try to control you (1 Cor 13:4-8).  He wants a relationship (Rev 21:9) and He respects the relationship with you very highly.  He will never force His Way just because He is the Way to salvation (Jn 14:6).  He's not like us, He's humble (Matt 11:29).  He guides (Rom 8:14) and woo's us, wanting to love on us... He wants His Family with Him (Lk 22:30).  We are the Family that He is jealous-zealous for (Jn 2:17).  He's a consuming fire (Heb 12:29) and that fire goes before Him and burns up the enemies (Ps 97:3).  Understand we are the work of His hands (Isa 64:8), He is not trying to burn up the work of His very own Hands, He is trying, as One with Deep Character would, take responsibility for those works that failed when we fell into sin.  He provided escape through death/resurrection of Christ Jesus to save His family who fell into enemy hands, i.e. into death (1 Cor 15:22).  He seeks to burn/destroy that enemy of death (1 Cor 15:26) that tried to steal us away (Jn 10:10) from Him... and if You were a Good Parent, wouldn't that make you mad?  Wouldn't you feel the anger of jealousy over your Child?  Oprah, Father God is not jealous or angry with us, He is angry at sin and death, He fights for us, He is jealous to have us back in His care, sitting at His table, eating and dining with all of us and the only way Truth could reverse this is for an innocent sinless man to obey the Law so Christ Jesus qualified.  I know you've struggled Oprah with all the ways to get to God because you know good people and can't see why the Christian way is any better than these other ways.  Remember the old testament Oprah, when Father God would reveal Himself to many people in many different ways because He has many different Names that reveal Who He is, so each person would get a revelation of Him in the way suitable to their character.  This is all good, and today we still do this all around the world.  This is all how we build on the building, it's all good.  It's not about the building Oprah, it's about the foundation.  Father simply said to be careful how we build on the foundation (1 Cor 3:10).  It's ok if we have different ways of coming to God but the Foundation is Christ Jesus (1 Cor 3:11).  So wherever you see all this good stuff going on but there's no foundation of Jesus, than pray & praise God that it's only a matter of time before that revelation comes too.  It's not bad that people see Light, or understand God in the cosmos, or in the sciences, this is all Good... and Salvation is about Holy Blood wiping away the sins from the unholy blood... all the knowledge about God is Wonderful- He's huge and we should not stop doing this, knowing and learning of His many different Names... God of Light, Healer, God of Wisdom, Peace, Unity.  But as far as Him being the God of Salvation, that part of His Name is the Revelation of Jesus Christ.  I've watched you Oprah, and believe you belong to Him, your heart is soft, you care about people, you like love and nice things, nice atmospheres, you have respect in you for God... i don't know why these things are happening to you right now but believe you are to be His, and it's just the matter of time before getting the revelation of Jesus Christ.
