   Blue  Ch 18 Num

                                What?
v20  LORD said to Aaron (High Priest, type & shadow of Jesus Christ)... I Am your share (Son) & your inheritance.  v13  All the land's firstfruits that people bring to Me (Father) will be yours.  (They bring it to God by bringing it to Aaron.  So we see how the church gets your money before it starts feeding it back to you spiritually.  This relationship is about Father & Son.  He will use natural things to reach in spiritually.)

                                    Why?

v24  I give to the Ministers (Levites) as their inheritance the tithes (ministerial money & a salary) that the people present as an offering to the LORD... v21 in return for the work they do while serving.

If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things?   1 Cor 9:11

Remember that God will provide for your calling, whatever it is, and we all have one to some degree.  When it's not there ask what steps were skipped, what integrity needs to be regained, what humility needs to return, etc. to get back on path with the real calling.

                                So That

v25 LORD to Moses to tell the Ministers (Lev), when the tithes are received from the people you must also tithe 10%.  From these tithes give 10% to the High Priest (type & shadow of Christ Jesus).  It must be the best, the holiest portion being given away.  (gets complicated, a little... you are dead to self, alive to Christ, Jesus Christ is living in you so technically that money is being given to you... here we see a Preacher having to pay tithes off of the tithes you just gave, so how does he do that when he is the leader of the church and the money supposedly ends up there?  And, you know it wasn't you that got that money?  Well, God looks at us differently than we look at ourselves.  We tend only to look at individual members where God sees us all as One Body with many members.  Remember the Corinthian concept, when one member suffers we all suffer, or when one memeber is honored we're all honored... (1 Cor 12).  So just because you gave and don't directly benefit from that doesn't mean in God's point of view that you aren't benefitting, because He allowed that money to help a member in our body that was more needy, and the healthier they are the healthier you are.  The tithe paid by the Preacher is used to start, build, and maintain many outreaches, including all the ministries within the church so that Christ alive becomes a reality for more than those who already have Him.

                               How it Applies

We are the kings & priesthood, a type of Levite, who are to bring our best 10% offering from all our increase to put it in the church where it goes to the 5Fold Minister (High Priest).  What needs to be understood about the 5Fold Ministry of Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Teacher, Evangelist is these offices are a Headship Gift direct from Christ Jesus Himself.  These High Priest Ministers will not only inherit some of your offering as part of their salary for doing the ministerial work but must take the top 10% to give it to the LORD to honor Him because they are standing as a type of Christ Jesus and Christ Jesus is Father God's own personal 10% tithe off of humanity.  God never tells us to do something He Himself doesn't already do.  Where we have missed it is we reduce it to mere money when really its about natural & spiritual people.  Money is a system of alchemy backed by gold.  Gold is a metal.  It's hidden in the coal mines of the earth.  We are a flesh nature, earthen body, with a treasure hidden inside called a spirit body.  We use money to reach our flesh nature that we may actually minister to the spirit sitting inside.  Tithing is what we call that money. We use it to maintain & help our physical and spiritual family so that we can grow and become the people who are not only made in God's image but live up to that image of holiness with thanks to Christ, God's Spirit and Jesus His flesh.  And that's how our invisible God receives tangible money.  He uses us, who can be seen, because He lives on the inside of us.
